February 27, 2026We are delighted to announce that the European workshop for young scientists in green conservation, organised by the CNRS and ENS Paris-Saclay, will be held online from 28 to 29 May 2026.
The workshop will explore multidisciplinary challenges and opportunities for young scientists from conservation science, material science, data science and the humanities.
The event will bring together early-career researchers to discuss three key themes:
– Interdisciplinary Methods & Transferable Skills, exploring how to bridge physical, chemical, mechanical, and digital approaches with humanities, social sciences, and historical perspectives
– Opportunities in Career Development, navigating pathways in museums, research institutions, and private practice
– Today’s Career Paths in Practice, featuring real-world insights from professionals in the field.
This inclusive workshop is designed for PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists and welcomes participants from across disciplines, whether with a background in the sciences, digital humanities, or cultural heritage studies.
