Workshop highlights Greener Cleaning Methods for Cultural Heritage

The “Greener Cleaning Methods for Cultural Heritage” workshop (21-23 January, 2026) brought together conservators, researchers, and professionals in Bologna to explore sustainable, science-based approaches to cleaning works. The workshop featured round tables, expert talks, case studies, discussions and hands-on demonstrations of some of the materials developed by European Green Cluster for Cultural Heritage (GoGreen, Moxy and GreenArt). Participants gained direct insights into cutting-edge methods that reduce environmental impact while improving care for sensitive heritage materials.
