Remembering Professor Austin Nevin

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our colleague, Austin Nevin. Austin was an integral part of the GoGreen project, and his vision, ideas, and contributions were fundamental in shaping its direction. He was a firm believer in the need for a green transition in the conservation field, with education playing a key role.

Even during his illness, he remained as engaged as possible with the project. Notably, he even managed to join the GoGreen consortium for a day in June at a workshop in Amsterdam, despite his condition. His sharp intellect and dedication to the field were truly inspirational, and his contributions elevated heritage science to new heights.

Our thoughts are with his wife, daughters, and family during this difficult time. We also extend our deepest sympathies to our colleagues at the Courtauld institute. Austin will be profoundly missed by all of us.
