GoGreen colleague Roberta Zanini featured in new research article
April 9, 2026Last week, on April 9th, our partner Center for Cultural Heritage Technology of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologica (IIT) organised a hands-on workshop as part of the GoGreen project, which was hosted at the Istituto Veneto dei Beni Culturali, a leading institution in the field of cultural heritage conservation.
The workshop, led by researchers Roberta Zanini and Fabrizio Andriulo, with the support of PhD candidate Sabrina Molinaro, focused on engaging conservators, practitioners, and restoration students in testing an innovative stabilisation method for ancient glass based on dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticles (DMSNs). A total of 22 participants were guided through both theoretical and practical sessions, gaining insight into the material, its degradation, and the proposed treatment.
This initiative reflects GoGreen’s commitment to developing sustainable and innovative solutions for cultural heritage conservation. It also provided a valuable opportunity to gather feedback from professionals and students, helping CCHT researchers to further refine and adapt the methodology to real-world conservation needs.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to this collaborative and forward-looking exchange!
