We would like to invite you to the Final GoGreen Event, which is an international conference on Sustainable Conservation – Green Strategies and Innovations for Cultural Heritage Conservation!

Sustainable conservation of cultural heritage takes the centre stage at this in-person closing event of the GoGreen project. During the symposium, we will showcase the project’s key achievements and innovations, reflecting on the impact of our work and looking ahead to future opportunities. We are also honoured to welcome Ms. Aruna Francesca Maria Gujra (Director-General, ICCROM), Prof. Dr Stefan Simon (Director, Rathgen Forschungslabor) and Prof. Ilaria Saccani (CESMAR7- Centro per lo Studio dei Materiali per il Restauro) and Prof. Andrea del Bianco (Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna – ABABO) as our keynote speakers, who will share their insights and perspectives.

Throughout the project, the GoGreen consortium has developed innovative green solutions for preventive and remedial conservation, advanced the concept of green conservation, established an educational academy, published numerous educational resources, and delivered hands-on workshops for professionals around the world. We look forward to sharing these achievements and discussing their future applications with you!

The final conference will be an international day of sessions and discussions bringing together leading experts from international institutions and the GoGreen consortium, and will explore the latest research and practical approaches to sustainable cultural heritage conservation. This event offers a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from specialists and discuss the future of environmentally responsible heritage conservation.

The event is open to students, restorers, conservators and anyone interested in the sustainable conservation of cultural heritage. The participation is free of charge, please register via the Eventbrite page.
